Nurses’ Emotional Intelligence, Satisfaction in Lebanon: The Mediating Role of Job Stress

چکیده

This study aims to examine the direct effect of nurses’ emotional intelligence (EI) on their job satisfaction, as well indirect through mediating role stress (JS). The sample consisted 365 nurses working in Lebanese hospitals during COVID-19 period. results revealed that EI elements (Self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness and relationship-management) had a significant positive satisfaction. existence negative mediation between four skills attitudes was found. generalizability is limited registered hospitals. Future research needs incorporate other samples like private nurses. A comparative provide further clarify JS at different levels needed. extends organizational behavior Eastern culture by examining which not previously tackled. It suggests have attitudes. emphasizes full JS. obtained indicated can increase satisfaction bettering employees’ EI.
